If happy ever after did exist

How could you act as if nothing happened? How could you simply walk towards me without even a look that you’re feeling sorry? Can’t you feel me? Can’t you see that I’m trying to pick up all the pieces of my heart that you left undone and broken? How could you just leave me like this? All those promises and vows that you said turned into ashes that the winds had blown. How could you just take me for granted when all the things that we had mattered to me? Was it too easy for you to let me go? How come everything vanished in just a glimpse? You left me undone, yes you did. Now, I’m trying my best to get over the things that we had. Now, I’m trying to let go of you even if my heart keeps on holding on. Now, I’m trying hard to fight over my feelings. Now, I’m trying to forget all the things that we’ve been through. I’m trying hard, I know I am and I definitely know that things would take time. A time for me to heal, to recover, and to move on and get over. And, I know that the time will come when you’ll realize that you lost almost half of your life when you let me go. Hope you know what I’ve been going through.

You broke her heart. Do you know how many times she told herself that she needs to be stronger? She’s been putting smile on her face though tears keeps on falling. She keeps on telling herself that she’s fine though deep within, she knows she’s not. If you only knew how she wanted to be with you all this time. If you only knew how hard it is for her to get over your memories. If you only knew how many times she’d cried. If you only knew how she stalk your profile just to check if you found somebody new. It breaks her heart a little bit more each day. Do you know that she always listen to music that could hopefully heal her heart and to make her stronger? She pretends to be fine when she’s not. Do you have any idea how you made her feel all this pain and hurt? Each and every day of her life carrying these feelings makes her feel sad. If you only knew what she’d been through… I hope you know what you’re doing to her all this time.

More than the stories she had read, the movies she had watched, the lovers she had seen. She’s but a girl who still hopes for a love that never ends. A magical feeling that’s everlasting. She may run now, but it’s never too late to catch her and pull her close to you. Tell her how much you love her. Prove to her that you really mean forever. Then, you’ll see, she’s just a normal girl, trying to run away from you for the very fact that she wanted you to chase after her.

It doesn’t make any sense, yet I still believe in it. Nowadays, fairytales appear to me as senseless products of illusive love. They were made to make others believe that love was too easy too find and too fall for. Like the glass slipper that Cinderella had left, that in coincidence had changed her whole life, the story was purely unrealistic. Yet, who cared? Most of us still enjoys their never ending love story that was not poured by sadness nor hurt but just love, love, and love. Come to think of it, we come up to our senses having to admit that these stories aren’t really applicable in reality, yet, we still believe and hold on to it, like we’re dreaming over a million times of that happy ending.
